PROGRAM AND DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE ON FUSSING - sintering of glass

Duration: 3 working days from 10.00 to 18.00.

What will you learn in these 3 days?

During the theoretical part of the course we:

- we will understand how to form a set of tools and auxiliary materials necessary for work;

- we learn how the bending occurs: flow into shape, shape, types of forms, their preparation for work;

- We learn about the process and programs of fusing, about how to program the oven, prepare it for work and lay the products for annealing.

Let's take a closer look at the art methods and techniques of fusing, let's dwell on the peculiarities of working with:

- paints on glass, dichroic glass, mikoy, stringers, noodles, frit, millifiori, glaze.

Most of our work will be devoted to practice. During the course you will master the technique of making ornaments, wall clocks, plates, napkins.

Practical lessons:

1. Simple pendant on the substrate - 1-1.5 h.

2. Complex pendant - multilayered, with dichroic glass - 1-1.5 h.

3. Souvenir without a base - 3 h.

4. The clock, with the use of stringer, frits, paints on the glass - 4-5 hours. + drilling holes, fastening the clockwork.

5. Making a plate (bending) - 3h.

6. Manufacture of napkin - 2-2.5 hours. + UV bonding of the product.
